Portmarnock is located 12km north of Dublin city on the coast. It is a popular destination for tourists and golfers with numerous hotels and golf courses close by. It has a historical beach (The Velvet Strand!) where some of the first Trans-Atlantic flights took off.
The Transition area is located on the carpark on Golf links road, whick leads up to the historic Portmarnock golf course. There will be limited parking here but there will be public car parks within walking distance of the transition area. These will be signposted and marshalled on the day of the race. We’ll be asking all competitors and spectators not to park on the cycle course.
